The Nursery

I kept putting off posting photos of Natalie's room thinking 'I just need to...before I take the pictures'. Well, her room is NOT exactly how I want it to be just yet, and may never be, but it IS ready for her precious little self!

The banner on the wall was made by Anna (my 6 year-old niece) with the help of Kelsey for our shower. It is awesome! She is such an artist and is SO excited about the arrival of her new cousin that I had to have it hanging where we can all enjoy it each day - so here it is above the changing table. It's the same changing table that we used for both Amanda and Kelsey. You can see the newly purchased diapers and wipes! Minnie was a gift from my mom and dad. Just out of range is her hamper and the lovely old computer that still needs to be moved...

Andy's dad made this hutch. I just love it. We added new knobs to the doors - you can't quite see, but they're little flowers. He would be so pleased to see it used in his granddaughter's room. It has been handed down over the years in our own house. First it was Amanda's, then Kelsey's, and now Natalie's! You can see she has some great books and toys waiting for her. The doors hide the numerous books we have saved over time. I can't wait to sit on the floor in her room and just play with toys and read her books! It really is going to happen after all. :)
Lastly is a shot of the crib and dresser - reality! I just can't hide the truth.
The laundry basket filled with washed clothes waiting to be packed or put into the dresser, the car seat that good friends have generously loaned us until she can go into her 'big-girl' car seat, and odds and ends cluttering the top of the dresser. Also, nothing, besides the banner, on the walls. In less than a month she'll be sleeping and playing in this room! Pinch me, I think I'm dreaming!

2 weeks and a day - amazing! I remember fondly the day that Amanda entered our lives and then the day Kelsey changed our lives forever. Those days seem like yesterday and I can only imagine how Natalie will impact each and every one of us. Imagine how her life will change in two weeks and a day! xoxo

I am so excited! I can't believe it is 2 weeks from today that you'll meet her. You will have to post pictures as soon as you are able!!!

The room looks great. It will be "complete" when Natalie is in there sleeping in her crib or playing with her toys on the floor!

Can't wait!!!!

Love,
Teresa

It looks wonderful! The only thing missing is Natalie. We can't believe it's now less than week before leave, and just over a week until we are united with our daughters. We are very excited to meet Natalie!
